As our operations grow, we are looking for a experienced and skilled Chief Engineer to join our Ro-Pax service between Långnäs and Naantali.

Eckerö Group has recently expanded its fleet with a new vessel, M/S Fjärdvägen (formerly Sailor). The vessel is scheduled to enter service in January 2026.
Who are you?
To succeed in the role of Chief Engineer , you should have:
-Relevant experience as marine engineering officer, with solid knowledge of vessel technical systems and applicable maritime regulations.
-A proactive and positive attitude, combined with a strong focus on safety, maintenance, and environmental responsibility.
-A valid Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer STCW III/2
-A clear and engaging leadership style, with the ability to lead, support, and collaborate effectively with your colleagues on board.

M/S Fjärdvägen sails under the Finnish flag and operates daily between Långnäs (Åland) and Naantali (Finland). The work rotation follows a 1:1 schedule, with two weeks onboard followed by two weeks off.
The official working and safety language onboard is English, while skills in Finnish and Swedish are considered an advantage.
