The archipelago nature offers fantastic scenery and contrasts. The red granite rocks against the snow in winter, an explosion of flowers in spring, summer's white sails on blue bays, or lush greenery and then autumn's fireworks in green, yellow and red.

Is there a nightlife in Åland during winter? Absolutely! It's of course not as intense as in the middle of July, but still far more vibrant than in many other places of a similar size.
As day turns to evening, there is entertainment for everyone, well into the early hours. In Mariehamn, bars, pubs and nightclubs are plentiful. In the city center there are dance floors for all tastes. It's always just a short walk to the next venue, so you can easily try different places until you find your favorite.
You can also watch theater, shows and concerts or visit one of the excellent restaurants. In summer, the outdoor scene rivals that of a major city, with a multitude of music and entertainment events.
